Google Engineer Reply All Error!

A Google engineer Steve Yegge was upset with Google+ and Amazon.  He decided to write a post internally for his other Google employees to read but accidentally sent this post to his public account allowing 2,000 of his followers to see what he had to say about the company.  It was a 5,000 word rant that went on about the inability of the company to hire correctly, weak operations, indifference to charities, and low pay compared to other companies.  He also discussed some problems of the company not being able to understand various platforms.  He talked about how these platforms were not understood by employees from the very highest ranks all the way down to the bottom of the chain.

Steve apologized for his rant in a blog post and discussed how it was uncharacteristic of him.  He said there were no consequences of this rant other than his co-workers laughing at him for a big reply all mistake.  The company though has looked into his comments about the shortcomings of the company to see if there are ways in which they can improve.  This rant could prove to be a beneficial one rather than ending in an employee being fired.  I believe that this is positive because normally people are fired on the spot for something like this being sent to so many people.  Rather Google is looking at it as an opportunity to better the company and become stronger.
